Optimum Intake Dietitians facilitate food and nutrition training workshops for aged care industry teams including clinical care staff, support workers, nursing staff, care workers and managers, chefs and kitchen staff, family/carers and volunteers. We provide practical on-site education sessions, designed to ensure clinical and catering staff are upskilled in the provision of quality nutrition care. Topics include general nutrition and hydration in aged care, weighing residents, texture modified diets and IDDSI, diabetes management, mealtime assistance, dining experience and many more.

Optimum Intake Dietitian’s Aged Care team contributes unique skills and knowledge to lead collaborative efforts which strengthen food and nutrition systems in Residential Aged Care Facilities.
We can tailor an education session for staff to suit the needs of your organisation. We can also coordinate seminars with other allied health professionals such as Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Diabetes Educators and Speech Pathologists. Training workshops can run for 1 hour, 2 hours, half-day or full-day programs.
