Isabelle Smith BN&D (Hons) APD
Dietitian
Isabelle graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours). She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a full member of Dietitians Australia.
She is excited to be a member of the Optimum Intake Adult Disability Team, where she offers supports aimed at improving health, wellbeing and independence, while addressing communication, social interaction, self-care, self-management and mobility challenges in her individually designed services.
Isabelle’s calm and caring nature allows her to build quality relationships with her clients and colleagues. She offers a comfortable and welcoming environment to all clients within Optimum Intake’s clinic rooms and is very respectful and approachable in her manner when attending to sessions within her participants homes or community based locations.
Isabelle adopts a health-at-every-size approach to her practice and prioritises improving the health and wellbeing of her clients. She enjoys developing individualised strategies to make the process of planning, preparing and eating nutritious meals more enjoyable. Promoting harmony between individual independence and a whole home approach to health and wellbeing.
With creative solutions to boost food variety and skills in managing Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) and medical-grade supplements, Isabelle advocates tirelessly for her clients’ nutritional needs within the wider care team.
On the weekends Isabelle enjoys going out for coffee, exploring new restaurants and cooking for family and friends. She also loves spending time outdoors and taking her dogs to the beach on a warm summers day.
