Dietitian
Rahni is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a proud member of Dietitians Australia. She graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) and brings a compassionate, client-focused approach to her practice.
As a member of the Optimum Intake Aged Care Team, Rahni is passionate about empowering her clients with simplified, evidence-based nutrition information. She takes a food-first approach to her care, focusing on practical and budget-friendly meal ideas that are both nutritious and delicious. Rahni provides tips to help stretch your food budget, offering cost-saving meal suggestions that don’t require fancy cooking skills. She understands that cooking can be challenging when energy or strength is limited, so she ensures her recommendations are simple, achievable, and supportive of your needs.
Rahni works collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and support teams to ensure nutritional care is personalised, practical, and aligned with individual goals. She embraces the wellness and reablement philosophies in aged care, supporting her clients to maintain independence, improve their quality of life, and achieve their best health outcomes.
Her areas of expertise include chronic disease management and addressing malnutrition, and she applies a Health at Every Size and Non-Diet approach to her care. Rahni believes in fostering a positive relationship with food and takes a person-centered approach to optimise nutrition and health for her elderly clients.
When she’s not working, Rahni enjoys baking, exploring new restaurants, playing the drums, staying active at the gym, and hitting the tennis court.
